The Snejbjerg Blog

Welcome to my blog at snejbjerg.com

I've decided to do an infrequently visited blog instead of a never-updated website. Mostly it's just news on what Í am working on at the moment, but I hope to add to the galleries (see the colume to the right). And no, you can't write comments here yet, but you can write me personally at peter@snejbjerg.com if you feel so inclined.

Abe Sapien

NewsPosted by Peter 2010-07-19 15:51:01
Abe sapien: The Abysmal Plain no 1 is out now. Comicbookresources.com said: "You’re not likely to find a better looking comic this week than “Abe Sapien: The Abyssal Plan” #1 and the art alone makes it worthwhile." Mmm. Notice the alternative cover version:Today also marks the day I finished the first fist page of pencils on my foray into french comics, WWX. Keep an eye out.

My Ears Are Burning

NewsPosted by Peter 2010-06-02 22:55:04
A random selection of what nice folks are saying about A God Somewhere:

"It is this generation's Watchmen"
-popculturehound.com

"...something completely new and completely unique..."
-comicbookresources.com

"...one of the most compelling page-turners to come out this year"
-USA TODAY

"A God Somewhere may be the first post 9/11 superman story"
-popsyndicate.com

...and Publishers Weekly said it "...prove(s) that there are still some new stories out there after all".

Not a bad week, after all.

Not even if my wife claims this is a self portrait...

Oh My

NewsPosted by Peter 2010-05-19 09:27:59
It's actually here - this is a scan of a corporeal printed copy.
Only now when I hold it in my hands do I realize what an outragous thing we have done. John has crafted a story that is both incredibly harsh and subtle. Release date June 2nd. Go.

So, the big event this month will, of course, be Komiks.dk 2010, and it looks like I will have a fresh copy of A God Somewhere in my hands, or at least a reasonable faximile thereof. Come along and have a look. You can catch me at Studio Gimle's booth, or when I'm signing the Danish edition of Dear Billy, Kære Billy, at G.Floy. You may not be able to actually BUY A God Somewhere yet, but you will be able to get get Kære Billy, a scribble and a handshake!

I'll be attending the XIV JORNADAS DE CÓMIC DE AVILÉS, Spain, september 8-12. A nice chance to get away from Copenhagen, where it's getting darker by the hour. Fun in the sun! Viva Espania!
